Everest Base Camp Trekking

Everest Trekking is regarded as one of the world’s most riveting treks of all time since it touches the fauna and fauna of the geographically fascinating regions of Nepal and eventually leads to the world’s highest mountain, Mt. Everest sitting at 8848m.

With panoramic views of some of the world’s most majestic and tallest peaks and the settlement of the Sherpa’s and Buddhists, Everest Trekking is a unique experience worth every ounce of the trek.

The Everest (Khumbu) region which is regarded as the King of all trekking regions contains mesmerizing views of the high standing  snow giants like Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Amadablam, Mt. Tharmarserku, Mt. Kwangde, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Khumbi-la along with many other peaks.

Most of these mountains fall on the list of the highest mountains of the world along with Mt. Everest topping the list. Located on the north east region of Nepal Khumbu settlement in the beginning of the challenging and demanding trek is a settlement area for the local Sherpa.

The Buddhist community living there has carried their long and old customs and traditions and has made peace with the holy mountains covering them from all side. Along the way through the trek one can observe the holy Buddhist monasteries and the prayer flags blowing with the cold breeze.

The enticing scenery of the Kumbu Ice Fall adds to the beauty of the Everest trekking. A flight to Lukla from Kathmandu welcomes to the lovely and warm Sherpa villages and eventually to the glacial DudhKoshi.

The trek gradually takes to the Sagarmatha National Park established in 1976 which has been listed as one of the World Heritage Sites is equally attractive and mesmerizing. The Sagarmatha National park is home to a variety of rhododendrons, juniper, and pines as well as the rich alpine vegetation.

It also houses wildlife like the national bird of Nepal; Danphe, snow leopards, Musk Deers, and more. Walking from Namche bazaar we see the spectacular views of mountains seemingly following us along the trail. The rugged and steep path leads to many magnificent sceneries that are ever imaginable.

Everest Trekking is most definitely a nature lover’s paradise. Since the trek itself is challenging, well equipped trekkers with the help of Sherpa can only visit this insulated region. The vibrant topography of the Everest trekking region eventually opens up to the highest mountain of the world, Mt. Everest.
