The Everest base camp helicopter tour takes an early morning experience along the high clouds with a breeze of cold air. So, can weather issues bring a problem while strolling in the Everest base camp by Helicopter?
Well! If there are any weather issues, we will postpone the flight, and no additional charge will be taken from the clients.
Spring Season (March-May): 17 to 25 °C
Autumn Season (Sep-Nov): 12 to 17 °C
Winter Season (Dec-Feb):-5 to -15°C
Summer Season (June-Aug):12-18 °C
Spring from March to mid-May is the ideal time to experience the thrill of the Everest region. With the hustle and bustle of the expedition life of the Himalayas, a helicopter tour can be the best transportation to explore the Everest base camp.
Besides, the Helicopter helps transport supplies for expeditions, rescue missions, and passengers in the region. So, getting a base camp helicopter tour in the season is an easy and fantastic opportunity to experience the region's beauty.
The major attraction of the season is the aerial view of the Everest base camp, where you will see climbers and trekkers residing in tents in the base camp, which can be a bit amazing.
The glimpse of the breathtaking mountain peaks Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse, and the vast expanse of the Khumbu Glacier can be taken easier by helicopter tour.
The weather at the high altitude can change regularly, but in the morning, we can get pleasant weather. In the Everest base camp, springs are milder, with temperatures ranging from 0 to -10 degree Celsius. However, the weather can be unpredictable due to strong winds and snowfall in the Everest region.
In Nepal, you will experience rain in the lower region with lush greenery from June to August. The flights can be canceled due to extreme weather conditions, but you can get the weather permits.
The rainy season is in lower altitudes, but it snows above the Namche Bazar while the weather conditions can still challenging. If there are good weather windows, there is an opportunity to experience the breathtaking aerial views of the Himalayas.
We offer a flexible and prepared itinerary during the rainy season due to extreme weather conditions or cancelations. If you are interested in a helicopter tour in the upcoming rainy season, please ask us about the possible flights beforehand.
However, group tours are available, which will be cheaper as you have a shared cost basis. The opportunity to witness the Everest region's greenery during the monsoon season is a fantastic experience that should not be missed.
The monsoon season may not be an ideal time to reach the Everest base camp by helicopter ride due to the potential for weather disruption. But it is the best time to take the fresh smell of nature after the rain and witness the beauty of natural wonder.
Our Everest base camp helicopter tour comes with proper preparation and flexibility offering visitors a majestic experience in the Himalayas.
Autumn is one of the best seasons while taking part in an Everest base camp helicopter tour. The most popular and busiest time is the clear, sunny blue skies, with the ideal conditions for scenic flights soaring the Himalayas.
We offer a fixed departure for our helicopter tours daily, so you will have a greater chance of securing a spot on time without any cancelations. The clear weather conditions will also reduce the risk of flight cancelations compared to other seasons.
While exploring the Everest region, we will also arrange a private charter flight providing a chance to take alternative routes on a helicopter not accessible by regular trekking routes. You can break your time between a helicopter tour and trekking, getting the best experience.
The colorful foliage of the flora, with a beautiful contrast to the alluring snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas range, make the experience even more captivating.
The winter season provides a different experience in the Mount Everest base camp helicopter tour. It is a bit different, as you can play with the white snow and have a different view of the majestic Himalayan range.
In the winter season, we will have cases of cancelations; we offer a full refund and reschedule the Everest base camp helicopter tour for you. If the weather conditions are extreme, we will also refund you.
A magical experience offers the opportunity to encounter the mountains draped ins now and a more serene and peaceful atmosphere in the region.
The Everest base camp helicopter trip with landing at Kalapathar depends on the weather as it is 5545 m, the highest point on the Everest trail. The weather will be cold, wet, and windy most of the year, so be prepared while going on the Everest base camp helicopter tour.

Himalayan partner offers two alternatives for those who want to trek but are not excited about spending the time to drive to the airport. Another is for people who wish to explore the Namche Bazar or enjoy the heart of the Himalayas without strolling in the sweat.
A flight from Ramcehap to Lukla, including a bus trip to Ramechap, is $600, which may sound better.
The airport set aside by the government of Nepal for flying people of the Everest region is several hours' drive from Kathmandu, and passing by Helicopter from Kathmandu to Lukla can be the best alternative. 45-60 minutes flight will take you to Lukla, where you can start your trek usually.
People want to trek around the Everest region, and we will offer you a perfect trip for them. We fly directly from Kathmandu to Lukla, which will enhance our experience.
In the domestic airport, the helipad is negligible due to Kathmandu Valley's mountain increasing the demand for land and air space.
The government of Nepal has planned to reduce air traffic by moving flights into the Everest region to the eastern part of Nepal, Ramechhap. This airport is several hour drives from Kathmandu, so the trekked must leave Kathmandu by bus in the afternoon to catch the early morning flights to Lukla.
But can you get a better night's sleep before starting the trek? You may want to stay a day to explore the local area, but at present, there is little to less accommodation which fills up quickly. Also, you can encounter bad weather delaying the flight. In such cases, you can utilize the tent and wait.
If you are looking to soar the clouds and stroll the rugged terrain of the Himalayas to reach the Everest abse camp, Namche Bazar to Kathmandu by Helicopter is a perfect idea.
Forty-five minutes flight will take you around the majestic area of Namche, especially for those looking to customize their trek from Namche and stroll the mountainous region.
This aerial flight will offer a relaxed time with a comfortable stay in Namche, pleasantly taking the sights and sounds of the Himalayan mountain, including flying over Everest Base Camp and landing at Kala Pathar.

However, you don't recommend staying at a high altitude without proper acclimatization as your body can't handle the height suffering from altitude sickness.
In an emergency, you will have access to the oxygen cylinder in the Helicopter.
In bad weather, you will be refunded if the tour is canceled.

5:30 am: You will wake up and freshen up in your hotel. Take a 15-minute drive to the Tribhuvan International Airport from the hotel in Thamel.
After driving to the domestic terminal, you will board your respective helicopter flight. You will stop at Lukla to refuel and take a 15-minute short break.
6:30 am: You are flying along the east with the Himalayas mountain range to the Hillary Tenzing airport at Lukla. You will pass through snow-capped mountains from the Langtang Range near Kathmandu to the Khumbu region during the flight.
Gauri Shanker (7,134m), Langtang Lirung (7,234m), Ganesh (7,429m), Pumori (7,161m), Nuptse (7,855m), Ama Dablam (6,812m), Chamlang (7,319m), Makalu (8,463 m) are some of the gigantic mountains you will get to observe.

While one group will take the delicious taste of breakfast, another group will fly to the viewing point of Everest, Kalapatthar(5545m). The Helicopter cannot switch off its engine on Everest at a high altitude in such windy conditions we will stay for 10 minutes there.
Besides, the human body cannot transition from 1400m to over 550m in a few hours. While it is safe to make the trip, we don't want to spend a long time at a high altitude.
The time is long enough to gain beautiful pictures, videos, and memories!
The magnificent view of Mt. Everest and the surrounding Himalayan range highlights this adventurous trip.
After returning to the hotel, you will enjoy a champagne breakfast while other party members board the helicopter trip for the astonishment of Kalapathar and Everest.
Now in the presence of Khumbu glacier and Khumbu icefall, Tengboche monastery, Everest base camp, and Mt.Everest around you, along with plenty of other peaks helicopter will bring you safely back to Kathmandu. The Everest base camp helicopter tour will end at that precise moment.
