Annapurna Base Camp Trek has been a growing sensation for the beginners and avid trekkers alike. From the exquisite views of the western Himalayas to the open wide grassland and snowy trails, this trek provides the trekkers will all the adventure that they need.
The exquisite view of Annapurna Range, Mt. Macchapucchare along with the deep forests and the traditional villages this trek blesses the adventurers with the abundance of natural beauty. Suited for even beginners, this trek is fairly easy. The highest altitude covered is the base camp at 4,130m and despite the rocky and snowy trail, all the views will make you forget about the drawbacks and hardship of the journey.
As with every other journey, this too starts with your arrival in Kathmandu. Our representative will pick you up at Tribhuwan International airport and transfer you to your hotel. You will be briefed about your trek and the rest of the day is free for your sightseeing around Kathmandu. Breakfast included
After breakfast, we head for Pokhara by car/bus. Throughout the way, we pass through many rural villages and the scenery of beautiful hills as well as river keeps you company. In Pokhara, we can explore the city in our remaining time. It is a beautiful city with many places to take pleasure in - from pubs to restaurants and even dance bars, enjoy to the fullest. From Pokhara, we take a short drive for Nayapul. From here, we start our trek. We pass Sudami and after a steady ascent we reach TikheDhunga where we stay the night. Approximately 5-6 hours of walk. BLD inc
Ascending uphill through a long stone staircase we reach the Village of Ulleri (2,070m). We trek through the rhododendron forest and streams and ascend to Ghorepani- one of the major highlight of the trek. Here, we get to witness the beautiful Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,172m), Annapurna Range, Macchapuchre, and Mt. Manaslu (8,163m) right in front of our eyes. Enjoy the epic scenery, take some awesome shots. We stay overnight at a lodge. We hike to Poonhill early morning and take some more pictures of the beautiful sunrise. This moment of the sun slowly coming out from behind the mountains like Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manaslu is really one of a kind. After a well spent time, we descend down to Ghorepani and move to Tadapani. On the way, we pass through numerous ridges and the beautiful Rhododendron forests. Approximately 6-7 hours of walk. This is where we converge to the traditional ABC route. Going north to Chuile we cross the Kimrong river on a long suspension bridge. After ascending into Modi river valley we enter Talung- a Gurung Village. Ascending through the staircases we reach the village of Chhomrung- at the base of HimalChuli. Here, we get to see the beautiful Annapurna and HimalChuli ranges. Approximately 5-6 hours of walk. BLD included.
We descend down the stairs and cross a long suspension bridge. After that, the tiresome ascend to the village of Sinuwa begins. These staircases will test your physical limit. Through the dense forest, we continue our trek upward to Bamboo (2,310m). There are many small bridges and the sound of the river brings warmth in the ears. We reach Dobhan where we can refill on our supplies and after the next stretch, we reach Himalaya Hotel. We stop for the day. Approximately 6-7 hours of walk. BLD included.
This will be the hardest day of the trek. Through the plain grassland, we ascend to Hindu cave and cross the avalanche track. Ascending further, we reach Deorali (3,230). Through the strenuous staircase, we get closer to Macchapuchhre Base Camp (3,700m). From here, you will see the majestic Mt. Macchapuchhre right in front of your eyes- more majestic and bigger than ever before. After that, we continue to our last stretch up the grassy slopes to our destination. After walking for few hours we finally reach Annapurna Base Camp. Approximately 6-7 hours of walk. BLD included
The sunrise is the major highlight of this trek. The sunlight reflecting upon the beautiful mountain ranges makes it glow like gold. This priceless moment is something you might want to take with you. Take few pictures and prepare to return. We descend down faster than yesterday and we descend down to Hinku Cave where we take a stop for the night. Approximately 5-6 hours of walk. BLD included.
Walking along the rhododendron forests and alongside the ModiKhola, we reach Sinuwa. Then very steep stairways down we reach a suspension bridge. We cross the bridge and a very arduous and tiring ascend through staircase awaits us. Pass that and we are back in Chhomrong. Approximately 6-7 hours of walk. BLD included
This is the traditional route you would have passed if you took the original ABC trekking route. We cross the flatland, and forests and cross the suspension bridge over the Khumu River. Few stretch and we reach the beautiful Ghandruk village famous for its unique culture, tradition and the glorious view of Annapurna South, Annapurna III, and Macchapuchre. Approximately 5-6 hours of walk. BLD included
Descending further downhill through the villages we arrive at Syauli Bazar. Furthermore and we reach Nayapul. Here, our trek ends and we drive back to Pokhara where we go back to the hotel and take a well-deserved rest as we conquered the Annapurna Base Camp. Take a long shower and relieve yourself of all the stress and physical pain you have from the journey. Approximately 2-3 hours of walk and 3-4 hours of drive. BLD included.
After breakfast, we take our tourist bus and return back to Kathmandu. We will escort you to your hotel where you will take a well-deserved rest as the journey as officially ended. Either stroll around the Kathmandu city or take a nice long nap. Approximately 6-7 hours of drive. Breakfast included.
